I’m getting a message that I’ve exceeded my Canvas storage allotment. What do I do?
Media files, in particular have the potential to be very large making it cumbersome for faculty and students to download and view/listen. In addition, large files count against the default 500Mb Canvas course allotment. We highly recommend faculty and students use “My Media” for media file uploads, webcam recordings, and screen recordings. Once created, faculty/students can make the file available via the “Media Gallery” tool. Any media saved here is stored on Kaltura, a streaming media server and does not count against the default 500Mb.
