How do I find and request Fortunoff materials?

NOTE: Access to testimonies can be requested from any computer, but can only be viewed on the approved computer in the Mason Library Archives room. The Archives are accessible from 10 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM – 4 PM on weekdays.

Requesting and Viewing Testimonies:​

1.) Search for Fortunoff Testimonies here: http://orbis.library.yale.edu/vwebv/

 

2.) After looking through the search results to find the desired testimony, click on the title of the testimony.

 

3.) Click "Request for Use in Manuscripts and Archives"

 

4.) Login or create an account

a.) NOTE: Creating an account requires e-mail verification that may end up in Junk folder

 

5.) After logging in, the form for requesting access to the testimony should already be filled in. Click the "Submit Request" button to finish the request process - you will receive a confirmation email.

 

6.) Wait for request approval - request review can take up to 3 business days. Be sure to check the Junk folder when looking for an email about the request being approved.

7.) Once the request is approved the video testimony will only be available for viewing in the Archives room in the Mason Library. Access the approved computer, which is located at the back of the archives room, and either follow the link provided in your email or go to https://aeon-mssa.library.yale.edu/, select "Other Special Collections at Yale" as the destination, and log in to view current requests. Select the testimony to view by clicking on it in the table of current requests, and then click on the link next to "Additional title" to watch the video.
