Mason Library Smart-Cart Instructions
This is the main control module for the Smart-Cart.
All options for display, volume, and input are right here at the fingertips with no need for a remote.

Smart-Cart Instructions: Using the Desktop Computer
Make sure the overhead projector is in the down position.
Open the cabinet and turn the computer on.
Once the desktop is on press the control module’s Display On switch.
To get a blank or a black screen press the Pic Mute switch
The sound control for raising or lowering the volume
To connect to the Ethernet attach the Ethernet cable to the network port on the laptop.
To turn the overhead projector off click the Off switch.
To use a modern-day laptop connect to the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the laptop.
If the laptop is connected press the HDMI switch on the control module.
Older laptops without HDMI will need to connect to the combined VGA and 1/8” audio cable.
Plug the VGA cable into the laptop’s VGA port and the audio cable into the audio-out or headphone jack on the laptop. Press the Laptop switch on the control module.
To use the combined DVD / VCR:
Turn the power of the DVD player on.
Press the DVD / VCR switch on the control module.
